Coming Next Month – June

What’s Coming to Theaters and Stereos this June

by Jeff Feuerhaken

I’s summertime, and the livin’ is easy. It’s shaking up to be a good month for new stuff, which is always a great way to kick off the season. In theaters, we have some major blockbuster releases on the way. There’s the latest Transformers movie, if you’re into that kind of thing, a Pixar sequel (Cars 3), the first/next film in Universal’s Dark Universe (The Mummy), and the movie DC and Warner Bros. hopes will turn around the state of their own shared universe, the Patty Jenkins-directed Wonder Woman. The one I’m personally most excited for is Baby Driver, the latest from director Edgar Wright. Early buzz from the festival circuit is that Wright has hit yet another home run. In the music world, there’s a lot of stuff I’ve been anticipating for many a fortnight, particularly the latest albums from Rise Against, Rancid, CKY, and 88 Fingers Louie. Wow, all that stuff in just 30 short days? Good lordy, am I excited!
